Old World Eagle

Iris's great-grandmother left Germany in her twenties with one suitcase and almost nothing else — but she kept a small eagle crest pinned inside her coat the whole crossing, something to touch when the ship got too loud to think. She never went back, but she never stopped telling the story either, and somewhere along the way it stopped being about the country and started being about her — about leaving everything familiar and still finding a way to feel like yourself on the other side. Old World Eagle is for carrying a piece of where you started, even after you've built something entirely new.
